Finish Line

This will be the last week for the Fall 2010 semester, finally! I mean the semester was great and I learned a tons but it was also filled with stress and anxiety so I'm glad that it's ending. All I have left to do is study and take two finals (math and american history), finish my inflatable hippo, my surface design project, and all my stuff for papermaking. No big deal, right? So this week is going to be a bit busy but next week will be relaxing in comparison even though I still have to work, take people to the airport, and go to court. I still need to christmas shop for the family, hopefully I find some time for that.

So I thought maybe I would finally post some pics. These are from my surprise Thanksgiving visit to Indianna with my roomie Emma. We left tuesday night to my family's house, stayed the night and went to my ortho appt and then had lunch with my parents before setting off to Indianna.

We arrived in Indianna around 9ish at night to surprise Emma's parents first. Her dad opened the door and yelled at Emma's mom that she'll never guess who's here. Em's mom was is total shock. All she kept saying over and over that night was "I can't believe your here" and she kept staring at Em. It was pretty funny. The next day we had breakfast with Ms. Sue, took a tour of Sharpsville, Kokomo, etc, and then headed out to where Emma really wanted to be, Chris's house. We parked down the road at a cemetary and then walked to his house so that he wouldn't hear the car. We knocked on the door and Shelly, his mom, answered the door. When Chris came to the door he was probably in more shick than Em's mom was. All he could get out was "How did you get here?". It would have been funny except for the fact that I was still outside in the freezing cold wind while Em hugged him in the doorway. I had to slightly push the couple forward so I could get into the warm house :) It took Chris a while to get used to seeing me in person. He had trouble speaking to me directly for the first few hours. At one point he was trying to tell me something but was doing it through telling Emma even though I was right there and his mom asked him if he was okay, all he could tell her was that I wasn't real cause he has only seen me on the screen. hahahahahaha! We had Thanksgiving Dinner with Chris's family, I worked on my Hippo a bit that day, and we played games that night. The next day we didn't get up and going till 9 even though it was Black Friday, and you know I didn't mind. That was probably one of the first black fridays in years that I have gotten to sleep past 4am. So we went shopping, ate some chinese, had some ice cream, on Abraham's request, and then went back to Chris's to relax, help Emma with one of her photo projects, and play games again. That night we went out to Steak and Shake to hang out with Emma's friend Anna.  Saturday Chris had to work so we got to sleep in, relax, pack our stuff, and wait for him to get home. Once he got back we watched some tv and then had to say our goodbyes. That night we went out to dinner with Emma's parents and stayed the night at their house. Sunday we traveled back to Memphis lazily. It was fun to see Emma's home and her family and friends. The trip was a blast and involved alot of running around and doing nothing(which I love). I hardly ever get to just sit, do nothing, and not stress over what I should be doing for school.
